THE LABEL

There is a particular pleasure in putting on something that feels right before you have even looked in the mirror. The softness of the fabric, its reassuring weight between your fingers, the depth of colour where the cloth meets your skin. Certain garments become old companions. SKULLBY is an independent luxury casual menswear label drawn to that feeling.

Tradition has its place here, though not the final word. Familiar masculine silhouettes are viewed afresh, with a little gothic romance, a trace of punk, and a preference for character over convention.

THE MARK

Sometimes the smallest details are the ones you remember. A familiar skull in embroidery, a flash of metal, a mark worked into the cloth. A little mischief amid the more considered things.

BEHIND SKULLBY

Long before SKULLBY had a name, there was a boy of about ten filling a notebook with sketches of clothes he wished he could wear. Among those drawings was a small skull, made without much thought for fashion or its rules.

Years later, M.J. came across that old notebook. The skull was still there, a little imperfect, a little mischievous, and somehow still exactly right. That childhood drawing became the emblem of SKULLBY.

Some dreams have a curious way of finding their way back to us. And sometimes, we finally get to wear them.

FROM IDEA TO GARMENT

Some fabrics seem to carry a history of their own. The warmth of a substantial knit, the worn character of cotton, the richness of a weave that invites a second touch.

We look to old-world textures and contemporary treatments, bringing them together in silhouettes that feel familiar, yet never quite expected. A sharper line, an unusual finish, a quiet nod to gothic and punk influences.

Nothing need be extravagant to feel extraordinary. Sometimes it is simply the way a garment settles when you put it on.
